Hi, I’m Rachel Jefferies, and I’m so glad you’re here!
This blog is all about my journey toward a healthier, more balanced life—through fitness, nutrition, self-care, and personal growth. As a proud mom of three incredible daughters, they are my biggest motivation. Like many moms, I’ve spent years putting everyone else first, often neglecting my own well-being. But I’ve come to realize that taking care of myself isn’t selfish—it’s essential.
I want to be strong, healthy, and energized—not just for me, but for my girls. I want to show them what it means to prioritize self-care, embrace strength, and continuously grow into the best version of themselves.

Why I started This Blog
At the end of 2024, I had a wake-up call. I felt stuck—going through the motions, but not truly moving forward. My weight was creeping up, and my weekends without my kids often revolved around going out to see live music. I love music, but something didn’t feel right. I started asking myself:
“Is this what I want my life to look like 3, 5, or 10 years from now?”
The answer was no. I wanted more. I wanted to feel strong, focused, and full of energy again. I wanted growth—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too.
Over the years, I had tried different gyms but struggled to stay consistent. Either I wasn’t sure what to do, or I got bored with repetitive workouts. Then, in October 2024, I found CrossFit—and everything changed. The structure, intensity, and incredible community gave me exactly what I had been missing. It reignited my passion for fitness and helped me take control of my health in a way I never had before.
That’s when I knew I needed to document this journey—not just for myself, but for others who might be feeling stuck too. That’s why Journey With Focus was born.
